Things are never what they seem.
Tensions often lay simmering underneath a facade of calm and all it takes is the slightest stimulus to ripple the surface and unleash a storm with a fury that defies imagination.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The quote is one of my favourites. You are right, Mimi. It is difficult sometimes.
i love that quote! sometime in our lives, we need to say that to ourselves.
happy sunday mimi!
kg: Rocky Saturday night but Sunday was happy, as you wished for me :)
Elmira: This one’s a favourite of mine, too. Something that got ingrained in my memory somehow since childhood…from a poster, I think.
as the famous malay proverb goes, ‘air yang tenang jangan disangka tiada buaya’ which can be literally translated to ‘never think that there were no crocodiles underneath a calm water surface’.. or maybe kak mimi would do a better translation job.. :)
Syed Heidzir: How could I have forgotten to mention that Malay proverb? Yes, yes. Very apt indeed. “Just because the water is calm doesn’t mean there are no crocodiles lurking underneath” would be how I’d translate it :)
I love your post! I agree it only takes a tinny tiny bit to ripple the surface….something’s a-brewing all the time!
Mrs G: Funny how so many ppl can identify with this *wry smile*
