I love travelling too and always bring my cameras to capture interesting sceneries! I had the chance to see Mayon Volcano and of course the longest bridge, San Juanico bridge 23 years ago! Unfortunately, I could not find the copies anymore except the photo of the former First Lady Imelda Marcos published in our university school paper, the Philippine Artisan (Technological Uni of the Philippines, Manila). Kahit walang proof, it is still vivid in my memories the perfect cone of the volcano and the winding length of the bridge! My world is getting smaller every day

yes, in fact, I do remember the night sky to be totally dark and awesome. I grew up in Iloilo and during summer we would spend two months in our small farm in a town not far from the city. I remember how inspired I was of the vast, midnight sky. In fact, I wanted to become an astrophysicist because of those happy summers.

kg: yup, 48 hours with very brief toilet/meal stops! it wasn’t very comfortable but it was unforgettable for sure. ahh bicolana ka pala. :) yes, daragang magayon is so beautiful!

there will always be pictures we wish we took. i also have some in my mind! even in this age of digital photography, where we can just snap and snap, may na-mimiss tayo na mga sights!

grabe, you rode a bus for 48 hours? my mom is from bicol, by the way, and we have soooo many pictures of mayon….majestic isn’t it? :)

Keep the beautiful memories in your heart. I also can’t forget Mayon Volcano and San Juanico Bridge. I too, travelled to Manila by bus a long time ago. It was an experience of a lifetime. I’d like to do it again if I have the chance.
