Sepia Nostalgia

Posted by Mimi on 24 August 2009

I came across this old photograph of one of my Chinese ancestors…

sepia photo

…and couldn’t help but notice his uncanny resemblance to RoundBoy. They’ve got the same eyes, the same smile…

Okay, okay, so I had a little fun with Photoshop today. Here’s the original photo:-

RoundBoy in costume

Photo taken at Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre. They have an area, right next to the mini-museum, where children can don costumes like this and have their photo taken against a sepia background.

Click here to see the tutorial that I followed for ‘ageing’ the photo using Photoshop.

Hope your week is off to a great start, everyone!

I was wondering why you made post of this picture in your blog. When I read the blog, I remember the face of your son.
