Would You Eat Here?

Posted by Mimi on 4 July 2009

This Korean restaurant is located in Tanggerang, just outside Jakarta, not far from Cengkareng International Airport.

Yeong Dung Poo restaurant

I haven’t actually been inside this place yet. But the signboard really got my attention: Yeong Dung Poo.

The name’s probably nothing extraordinary to Koreans — it’s just the name of a place in southwest Seoul, South Korea. But to native English speakers, the last two parts of the restaurant’s name can really mess up one’s appetite ;)

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

faery: i’ve been keeping this photo in my phone for months and i’m relieved to have finally posted this entry haha.

blogusvox: you are probably right ;)

    odette: amusing, no? :)

jinky: thanks. i try to keep the entries short (generally). i have a short attention span myself and can’t stand reading long posts *grin*

jempres: other sites romanise it as “yong dong po” http://news.webshots.com/photo/2816030080051634853bYRhCT and http://history.amedd.army.mil/art/korea.html
