Posted by Mimi on 12 May 2009

Before the ‘DaVinci Code’, there was ‘Angels and Demons’, also by bestselling author Dan Brown.

Angels And Demons

The movie adaptation of the much-anticipated prequel is set to be released on the 14th of May in Malaysia.

If you’re curious to know how the movie fares against the book, then it’s your lucky day because I’m giving away a paperback copy of the book ‘Angels and Demons’.

To join, just answer this simple question:

What is your favourite big-screen adaptation of a novel?

Is it ‘Twilight’? The ‘Harry Potter’ series? ‘Shawshank Redemption’? ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’? Or some other movie that I did not mention here?

Entries will be accepted until 10 pm of Thursday, the 14th of May, Malaysia time (+8 GMT) and the winner’s name will drawn randomly and announced on Friday. Only one entry per person, please.

  3. mordsith

I think Angels and Demons was Dan Brown’s best,or at least better than Da Vinci Code and Deception Point.

My answer to your question is Shawshank Redemption. I just love it. :)

  4. witsandnuts

thanks for dropping by. wow! can i join? baka ‘pag nanalo ako, maybe i’ll find the time to read again :D when i became sahm medyo hindi na ako nakakapagbasa ng books. when we go to the bookstore i buy books for the kids na lang. the last book that i bought for me (and for the kids na rin) was the last book of Harry Potter.

ok, to qualify for the giveaway, my first favorite is The Firm by John Grisham and the latest is of course a Harry Potter book HP and the Goblet of Fire.

Thanks for dropping by my blog! And ooh, nice to meet a fellow Angels and Demons fan! I borrowed this book from a friend and absolutely loved it. I sure want to reread it!

My favorite movie-to-film adapation is The Jane Austen Book Club. Why? I found the book so dragging and boring, but the movie was entertaining and involving! I fell in love with the characters and the movie gave me a better appreciation for Jane Austen, more than the book did.

shawshank redemption. ‘watched it over and over again, no kidding. ^-^

  9. sheng

oh, i’d say Harry Potter…i love how they described Hogwarts School as seen in the movies. I love how they every character in Harry potter was given life in the movies.

If there’s another movie i have seen and read, and made me cry both in book and movie, that’s Bridges of Madison County… very nice read, very true emotions coming from the actress, she has waaaay beautifully portrayed the lead role…

I have to read this yet, i guess, if i win? hahaha… Thanks for coming up with this…

hi,, i love shawshank redemption. The movie has a deep with different point of view. I’m still looking for the novel either new or second hand book.

  13. Mimi

Shelin: Shawshank Redemption remains one of my all-time favourite movies. I think the movie’s better than the story (it’s actually a short story, not a whole novel). I got my copy from MPH, if I’m not mistaken. But it was quite a number of years already. That reminds me to look for my copy of the book!
