Sometimes I forget that I live in KL, right under the shadow of the most famous twin towers in the world… until I browse my phone and find a gem of a snapshot like this:-

The twins posing in front of the Petronas Twin Towers
This reminds me of the time I was in Geneva in April 2008. The proprietor of Hotel Central asked me if the Petronas Twin Towers are truly beautiful. I had to pause (!) to think of an answer. And all I could say was, “I suppose they’re beautiful in a man-made way. It’s just that I see them so often — I drive past them almost everyday — that I’ve taken them for granted already.”
May I never take anything for granted again. Especially the things that I see everyday. Amen.

Wonderful shot!!!! yes, we should never take things for granted! We should appreciate everything that we see even from the minute ones.
Great shot, especially with your kids in it. =) That’s true, we sometimes find several things ordinary because we’re used to it. I’ve never been to Malaysia but the people I know who visited there talked pleasantly about the twin towers.
nice shot….and cute kids! well obvious it’s my first time to reply to your blogs. i’ll tell joey to save up some money for us to go there. I’ll ask you to be our personal tour guide. hehehehe. take care.
naku. ganyan talaga. when you see or have something regulary, you forget its worth.
when i was a kif, i regularly go to my mother’s province, which is in bicol. you know what, when you open the window, you have the majestic mayon volcano for a view. pero sa sobrang lagi ko sya nakikita, it was just a regular thing for me. not until i got older, when i rarely get to go to albay, that i was reminded of its beauty again. :)
avril: yup, this was a good reminder to me.
witsandnuts: next time you go back to RP, take Malaysia Airlines so that you get to stopover for a day or two in KL
kookie: i’d love to take you guys around :)
kg: ohh..mt mayon is very beautiful! i saw it only once. my roommate and i once took a bus from pasay to davao (48 hours in a bus! imagine!) and the bus stopped in albay to refuel. i still remember staring in awe at the MANUAL petrol pump that they used…then turned around and was shocked to realise that i was staring at the most perfect cone-shaped volcano in the world.
A big WOW!…the perfect cone-shaped Mayon Volcano…
