I was tagged by mom-to-be, Eper, with a meme that requires 4 things:-
- List down what you want for your birthday…
- The list should be 10 numbers
- Post the image of this award in your posting
- Give it to 10 friends of yours.
My birthday is, like, 9 months away (sufficient time to conceive and give birth to a baby haha!) but I’m afraid that if I put off writing this post any longer, I might end up forgetting about it.
So here’s my list, from the obsessive (#1), to the mundane (#2 and #3), to the ones I’m really praying for (#9 and #10), in no particular order:-
- A Nikon D90. Just the body will do, but the deal will be even sweeter if it comes with a brand-new lens, specifically an 18-200mm VR! The D90′s been on my wish list for quite some time now. My D40 takes mighty fine pictures but the D90 can do something that my D40 can’t — take videos. And in high definition, no less!
- All 7 Harry Potter books, the American edition. The American edition books have those cute illustrations at the beginning of each chapter which the British edition books don’t have. [NB: Malaysians get the British edition.]
- A knitter-wanna-be’s starter kit. I want to learn how to knit but don’t even know what to buy or where to start.
- Jewelry. No woman would ever say no to jewelry. Okay, okay, this particular woman (moi) would never say no to jewelry! :D
- An MPV. Because I’ve got 5 kids. And I always drive all 5 of them around, together with their nanny. And a car’s too small for such a task. Plus, there’s the new law in Malaysia that requires everyone in the backseat to buckle up, as well. (It used to be just for the driver and the passenger in front.)
- Go on a nice, loooong holiday. I travel a lot, but mostly for work, so I really look forward to a trip where I don’t have to rush anywhere to do anything, where I can stop anytime to take as many photos as my heart desires…and to stay for as long as I want. (Reality check: This would be impossible to do because of family and work commitments. But we’re talking about wishes, right?)
- Make money from my photography (Moo cards? Calendars thru Lulu.com?) and recover the cost of my ‘investment’.
- Go tandem-paragliding in Switzerland. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but never got to, even though I’ve been to Switzerland three times already.
- Get my PR (permanent residence). Uh, anyone out there with connections at the Malaysian Immigration Department? ;)
- That my mom remain cancer-free. One year and a half down, three and a half more to go before the doctor can declare her truly cancer-free…
Josiet, Janet, MrsG, Sinta, FrancescaInFrance, Kumareng Grace, Kak Haza, Safiyyah’s Mama, Weng, WitsAndNuts, what’s on your list of birthday wishes?

I love this wish list, i wish long times of holiday too, not now though, i am pretty busy… and when i say busy, i can still blog, hahaha…
I’ve been tag twice. Time for me to do this. =) They also sell British Edition of Harry Potter here. I have the first three books. Slowly catching up, hopefully I’d finish all before Half Blood Prince is shown.
sheng: i wanted to tag you but then i realised that you just celebrated your birthday…
witsandnuts: link to me when you’re done doing it, okay? i can’t wait to read your list :)
Hmmm…will have to think hard about my wishes. They might just come true =)
Thanks for the tag Mimi.
wow mimi, thanks for the tag! will keep this in my chaotic mind hope i don’t forget about it.
you have a great birthday list! i also wish for my mom to be cancer-free. :)
I still haven’t gotten used to wearing a seatbelt when I’m sitting at the back. I hardly buckle up unless the driver reminds me.
As for making money from your photography, perhaps you would like to check out Associated Content. Though you won’t be eligible for upfront payments (not being a U.S. resident), you are still entitled to royalties.
I also hope that your mom remain cancer-free *fingers crossed* :)
hi mimi! done with the tag! happy weekend to you! :)
kg: i pray for your mom, too. and i’ve seen your list — it’s wonderful! thanks for doing the tag!
perky: the hardest part about buckling up is getting all the kids to buckle up! thanks for the link for associated content btw :)
May all your bday wishes come true, especially # 10!
thanks, eper :)
