Finally…

My job involves meeting with people and it’s inevitable for some of those meetings to be done over lunch, tea or dinner. And when people come to visit, especially from overseas, they often bring presents with them, usually food items: chocolates, mooncakes, chocolates, egg tarts, chocolates, green tea, chocolates, Chinese tea, and more chocolates. Now you know why it’s a huge struggle for me to keep my weight within the optimal range!

But at long last, a few days ago, I received a gift that does not involve any calories — a small black leather purse for keys. It comes with two rings, which fits the bill perfectly because I carry around two bunches of keys: one set for the office and one set for the house. That’s the grubby, overused office bunch you see in the pic. The house bunch was hidden from view.

I’m more familiar with Braun Buffel but I’ve never heard of the brand Picard before. Google easily solved that little problem (trust Google to help you find absolutely anything under the sun, even Mesothelioma lawyers, if you need them) and effortlessly brought me to Picard’s website, where I found out that the company was established in 1928. Apparently, they have shops in 22 countries around the world and have 13 shops in Singapore alone. Hmm…I wonder why they haven’t reached Malaysian shores yet.

‘Picard Lederwaren.’ It has quite a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
