Chocolate cake? In KFC**?
I know, I know. It sounds unbelievable.
The cake is not bone-dry like most ‘commercial’ cakes in the market and the chocolate topping reminds me of the chocolate fudge syrup in McDonald’s ice cream sundaes. Think ooey, gooey, sticky, chocolate-y and sweet! Add to that the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and you’ve got the ultimate chocolate fix to drown your sorrows in and forget about crude oil prices or global warming or your pending application for whole life insurance. It’s not as good as the brownie with ice cream from Friday’s but it’s pretty decent for RM4, including tax.

Overall, I find that KFC’s marketing team is doing all the right moves to rope in the customers: first by offering free WiFi in their outlets, then by introducing the Malaysian favourite, nasi ayam (chicken rice), into the menu, and now, a decadent dessert.
Stay away from KFC if you’re on a diet!
(**KFC stands for ‘Kentucky Fried Chicken’. All Malaysians refer to Kentucky Fried Chicken as KFC. In the Philippines, they say ‘Kentucky’.)
