Julie: After 48 hours, it was back to normal 100%. Children respond to medication at different rates. As long as he is responding to his medication, he should be fine, God-willing.

Hi, I think my son got bitten by the same nasty bug.
I know it's been 3 years now, but do you recall how long it took the swelling to go away? And when it did, did the swollen ear go back to its normal state?

It's been two days and I can tell the swelling is going down gradually, but I'm worried his ear will never be the same again.

Thanks in advance.
