By now, you can introduce books to Sky. Choose sturdy board books with sounds or textures (rough/smooth/crinkly surfaces, things that squeak). But expect his attention span to be very short. As he gets older, get him lift-a-flap books. He’ll love those. Wait til he’s 2+ before you actually read to him. Before 2, just point out objects and name them or sing about them, eg. if there’s a spider in one page, sing ‘Incy Wincy Spider’.

I’m not perfect as a mother but I try to give my children my very best. Luckily, I got lots of good examples on parenting from own mother as I was growing up. I just added my own ‘tricks’ along the way ;)
